Among Dandelions and Buttercups

danebroderick.com Most of the day has passed. The sky is clear, and a soft, cool breeze brushes by intermittently.

I lost myself for a brief moment in solitude.

I felt my mind and senses expanding as I was drawn into a space of connected clarity, compassion, and love.

The backyard is filled with uncut grass where nature’s smallest citizens are curiously buzzing, crawling, and scurrying about - seemingly without objectives.

The now timeless stillness within began with wonder.

I wondered the world of dandelions: where they are in their lifecycle, their persistent roots, reliable stems magnificently holding the next generation of its kin to be carried off far and wide and because of the vibrant life we are all part of—

I wonder if I am ever going to mow the lawn again.
